The starting point
The goal was to build a dog brand from the ground up and learn through the work. We brought together dog beds, toys, and raw treats, testing how customers responded to the products and the ways they discovered them.
Building and learning
We connected the product offer with an online store, advertising, email, and a subscription service. Testing across Amazon, search, and social helped us understand which routes brought customers into the business. Inserts in customer orders introduced the direct store and its wider product range.
A clearer direction for growth
Raw treats became an important part of the business. As we learned more about customer preferences, we refined the product focus and developed recurring subscriptions. Email helped maintain the relationship beyond the first purchase.
What we carry forward
Building our own pet ecommerce brand gave us practical experience across product decisions, website operations, advertising, and customer retention. It informs how we approach other businesses: start with a clear goal, pay attention to the response, and use that learning to guide the next decision.
